「 Circular The Ordinary 」
We circular like the wind, and there is power in the phenomena.
This installation was held at a second-hand bookstore called Nitesha Kyoto. Originally a Nishijin weaving factory, this space has a deep relationship with light and wind, and is quietly located in a corner of a row house, which can be called architecture that exists within the natural cycle.
This place, which has been carefully preserved over a long time, gives you a truly Japanese feel that makes you imagine beautiful human behavior.
Ahare Space Project worked with Nitesha Kyoto to create an installation that combines scents and books. We created the scents based on contextual research and Nitesha took inspiration from the scents to curate the book., and named the scents after the titles and stories of those books. For the three-month installation, we worked with photographers and videographers to create narrative visual content called "Being with the wind" that weaves concepts into each month.
The scents produced this time for the edition are three types: "MATSUKAZE", "NOCTURNE", and "RE PLANTAE", which were later announced from AHARE Thoughtful Incense.
By creating various interrelationships in the space, we created a deeper and richer experience than just the three scents.
