This exhibition marks the Tokyo debut of the product brand AHARE, directed by Ahare Space Project.
Presenting a collection of five original botanical essence oil blends and the cube diffuser “AHARE #CUBE 2-16”, this exhibition introduces a refined interpretation of scent and form. The iconic black cube is colored using sumi ink, a shade that at times symbolizes emptiness while simultaneously holding infinite possibilities. This concept resonates with the expressive power of black explored by Pierre Soulages, the abstract expressionist language of Clyfford Still, and the works of Günther Förg, aligning with YOKE’s seasonal theme.
Titled “Sable still”, the exhibition features massive iron-roasted pillars dyed deep black, alongside display fixtures crafted from black-stained timber. These elements, positioned next to YOKE AOYAMA’s stone fixtures, contribute to a sophisticated and profound sense of stillness.
